Southern Italian cooking with exceptionally seasonal and fresh ingredients!

We stumbled upon this place to shelter from the rain after Columbia Rd Flower Market.

The atmosphere is rustic farmhouse meets Scandi chic. The staff treated us like old friends and the food was sensational!

We had ricotta and spinach gnudi with sage butter to start (gnudi meaning naked in Italian, naked ravioli without the pasta). Three balls of light and airy whipped ricotta dumplings, steamed then fried in warm, autumnal sage butter served with Parmesan and crispy sage leaves.  Then we had homemade fresh pasta; stringozzi with aubergine, tomato, ricotta and speck and spinach pappardelle with veal ragu. Both were cooked al dente with the rich sauce slowly cooked to perfection to bring out the depth of flavours. We had two glasses of their Primitivo red wine which was perfectly balanced, well rounded with notes of stewed red berries, chocolate with tobacco leaf.

When people say they cook with love, it's not a myth, it's absolutely true and this place is the perfect example of that.
