You can find the hidden gem that is Kitchen Table, shrouded behind a velvet curtain and tucked behind a gourmet hotdog restaurant.
The plating and theatrical experience of this place was slightly underwhelming as the kitchen was more of a “dressing room“ for the food, whilst the real magic happens in the basement. Perhaps they wanted to keep their cards close to their chest and not take away from the fantastic food which had a story with every course.
A few of my favourite dishes:
Gnocchi - 36 month aged Parmesan sauce and roasted chestnuts.
Hibiscus poached rhubarb charred black pepper meringue, milk ice cream and poaching syrup.
Raw mackerel, pickled turnip, apple and lemon infused miso
